Shiseido IBUKI Trial Kit FINISH!

So it took longer than two weeks, but I finished up the Shiseido IBUKI Trial Kit.........So how did it go?

 I wanted to fall in love with this line, but unfortunately I did not. The one thing I noticed was less redness in my skin as you can see the after pictures. HOWEVER, I did not notice any smoothing of skin roughness, and noticed a more than normal amount of blackheads on my nose. This most likely came from the cleanser. I have never had very much luck with Japanese cleansing foams. There is some ingredient in them that clogs up my pores ;___; The Softening Concentrate I did really like. I had some leftover when the cleanser and moisturizer ran out, and liked how it absorbed and how it helped my new facial oil absorb as well. 

 So now I am using the below products. Marukai got in the Nursery Make-up&UV Cleansing Gel in, so I decided to pick it up about a week after I started the IBUKI trial set as a make-up remover. It promotes actually being a DOUBLE CLEANSER (make-up remover and cleanser) so I was just using two pumps to take off make-up instead of the recommended five pumps. Since I am out of a cleanser, I am going to start using five pumps and hopefully it works! I got the AHA Fruits Mix type since I thought that my skin roughness could be solved with gentle exfoliation. I bought another bottle of the Annemarie Borlind Orange Blossom Energizer facial oil. I loved this stuff while on Accutane, so I decided to try it out again. And I picked up the Nameraka Honpo Soymilk Isoflavone Wrinkle Eye Cream (sheesh long name!) I figured at 25 I should get some sort of eye cream now.

 Recently my skin has had a lot of red spots, small blemishes and roughness. I was talking with my sister about it a few days ago, and she said that since I have been using the same skincare for the past two years that my skin is too used to it and it is no longer as effective. I do not know how much I believe that theory, but while we were out shopping I went to the Shiseido (my primer, foundation and blush are Shiseido, so I thought I would look at a trusted brand) counter at Nordstrom, and the sales woman gave me a sample of the new Shiseido IBUKI Purifying Cleanser. After using it for three days, I did notice that my skin was left rough, so I decided to try out the line. Here is the two week trial kit for Shiseido IBUKI!!

As you can see I have some red small blemishes, and roughness/acne scarring. We will see if my skin improves from these pictures in two weeks. These pictures were taken after washing my face for the last time with my old skincare routine. 

Birthday 201３

So I have decided to start up my blog again as of today, my 25th birthday. From now on, I will do OOTD posts of my Kate Spade work outfits. Skincare and makeup consists of SANA and Shiseido, so not extremely exciting, but I will do a post soon on that.

What is in my bag??

 What's inside my bag post! I was really wanting a new bag, but was having trouble finding one I loved in the stores. Then I remembered the Internet! I always browse Rakuten.com, and the day I found this bag Embellir had a big add on the front page.
Embellir is a pretty popular brand for girls in Japan. I have seen their bags in Ray magazine a few times. I got the "Small" version of the Chere bag. I LOVE it.

And now the inside!! I keep everything in pouches as you can see. I hate having free flying stuff in my bag. I can never find what I want, then I start digging, etc. Bleck, just put in a pouch and then it is much easier to locate.

In the side zipper pocket. A Chanel clip that I use to pull back my hair when out eating, my fav Stella roller ball perfume, a Stitch square mirror from Japan, and Mistral hand cream.

Lovecat wallet. I have had this for a while, I have been wanting a new wallet but Nordstrom no longer carries the brand -__-

Make-Up Update

I finally got a job! So I have developed a daily make-up routine. I had already been using the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB the past month, so for more coverage I picked up the Dream Lumi concealer. I LOVE it. The reviews are right. It gives you skin a gorgeous glow and covers up dark circles.
I do not wear a lot of make-up as you can see. I rarely wear eyeshadow, so I like the Urban Decay gold shadow primer so it adds at least some colour. And my everyday Rose of Versailles Marie Antoinette brown liquid eyeliner.

This lipstick is new. I was at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets and went to see what sales the lancome/high end make up outlet had. They had these lipsticks from the Spring 2012 collection of Lancome lipsticks on sale for $15. It is a nice wash of pink colour that looks very natural. Less moisturizing than the Coco Chanel Shine, but it last a little longer. 

VANS x Hello Kitty

 Went out to Nordstrom help my mom pick out a new purse. When we got there, they were having a VANS x Hello Kitty event where they would take your picture with Hello Kitty. Long story short, despite never being a Hello Kitty fan growing up (I had a phone in room. That was it.) Mother wanted me to take a picture for nostalgia. All the other people in line were actually not kids either, probably 18 at the youngest. Mostly it was workers in the store! So here is the final picture that they gave me.
I ordered a silicone case for my Galaxy S3 today on Amazon! One of the Rilakkuma cases, I saw a girl at the mall with one and immediately ordered one when I got home. Only $5! I hope it fits...I'll review it whenever I get in the mail, about a week I assume.

Back from the islands

I've been back since Monday, but my phone was stolen and I needed to catch up on job applications, so I have not made the time to upload photos. These photos are mostly by Peter (aka-why they are super pretty!) and his new HDR camera he got for this trip. The dull ones are from my old Samsung Galaxy S1 camera. I got the new S3 yesterday, so expect better photos from now on!
We had a fabulous time. The ocean there is so blue and clear, just like a painting. Alcohol there is super cheap, so if you like to drink make sure you allocated money to buy duty free 20% off alcohol while there. I drank a lot of rum ^^;; Cruzan Rum is made there, so I tried to drink only the local alcohol. Mostly took pictures, swam and explored the local areas. The hotel has a boat that takes you back and forth to St. Thomas, which is where you can go shopping so we went there a few times and looked around and took walks along the beach.

July 4th parade. They "celebrate" it, but it more about slave emancipation since they are not an official state.
