What is in my bag??

 What's inside my bag post! I was really wanting a new bag, but was having trouble finding one I loved in the stores. Then I remembered the Internet! I always browse Rakuten.com, and the day I found this bag Embellir had a big add on the front page.
Embellir is a pretty popular brand for girls in Japan. I have seen their bags in Ray magazine a few times. I got the "Small" version of the Chere bag. I LOVE it.

And now the inside!! I keep everything in pouches as you can see. I hate having free flying stuff in my bag. I can never find what I want, then I start digging, etc. Bleck, just put in a pouch and then it is much easier to locate.

In the side zipper pocket. A Chanel clip that I use to pull back my hair when out eating, my fav Stella roller ball perfume, a Stitch square mirror from Japan, and Mistral hand cream.

Lovecat wallet. I have had this for a while, I have been wanting a new wallet but Nordstrom no longer carries the brand -__-

Make-Up Update

I finally got a job! So I have developed a daily make-up routine. I had already been using the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB the past month, so for more coverage I picked up the Dream Lumi concealer. I LOVE it. The reviews are right. It gives you skin a gorgeous glow and covers up dark circles.
I do not wear a lot of make-up as you can see. I rarely wear eyeshadow, so I like the Urban Decay gold shadow primer so it adds at least some colour. And my everyday Rose of Versailles Marie Antoinette brown liquid eyeliner.

This lipstick is new. I was at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets and went to see what sales the lancome/high end make up outlet had. They had these lipsticks from the Spring 2012 collection of Lancome lipsticks on sale for $15. It is a nice wash of pink colour that looks very natural. Less moisturizing than the Coco Chanel Shine, but it last a little longer. 

VANS x Hello Kitty

 Went out to Nordstrom help my mom pick out a new purse. When we got there, they were having a VANS x Hello Kitty event where they would take your picture with Hello Kitty. Long story short, despite never being a Hello Kitty fan growing up (I had a phone in room. That was it.) Mother wanted me to take a picture for nostalgia. All the other people in line were actually not kids either, probably 18 at the youngest. Mostly it was workers in the store! So here is the final picture that they gave me.
I ordered a silicone case for my Galaxy S3 today on Amazon! One of the Rilakkuma cases, I saw a girl at the mall with one and immediately ordered one when I got home. Only $5! I hope it fits...I'll review it whenever I get in the mail, about a week I assume.

Back from the islands

I've been back since Monday, but my phone was stolen and I needed to catch up on job applications, so I have not made the time to upload photos. These photos are mostly by Peter (aka-why they are super pretty!) and his new HDR camera he got for this trip. The dull ones are from my old Samsung Galaxy S1 camera. I got the new S3 yesterday, so expect better photos from now on!
We had a fabulous time. The ocean there is so blue and clear, just like a painting. Alcohol there is super cheap, so if you like to drink make sure you allocated money to buy duty free 20% off alcohol while there. I drank a lot of rum ^^;; Cruzan Rum is made there, so I tried to drink only the local alcohol. Mostly took pictures, swam and explored the local areas. The hotel has a boat that takes you back and forth to St. Thomas, which is where you can go shopping so we went there a few times and looked around and took walks along the beach.

Packing Complete

So P-chan and I are heading on a 8 day vacation to the US Virgin Islands today ^.^ I just finished all my packing. I started yesterday, and finished ironing some clothes I washed this morning. My main thing when packing is making an outfit list BEFORE I start packing. So yesterday I busted out all my magazine summer issues (ELLE, InStyle and RAY) and got some inspo from those outfits and also made sure to read the articles on how to pack properly.
I make a list for two reasons: 1) So I don't forget anything 2) So I don't over pack. I plan my outfits for each day that I am gone. This way I can easily plan out things to wear and make sure I pack items that can be mixed and matched. I write in pencil so I can take out an item and put in one I had used before and also matches, etc. Really good for over packers like myself. Also since I am doing carry-on only I decanted all of my skincare products into $1 3oz bottles from TARGET. I even did this for my favorite sunscreen and laundry detergent! As you can see I also am using my former college backpack to use for in-flight items like my pillow, snacks and skincare. Our flight is 14hours so I packed the My Beauty Diary mask mixed with my regular moisturizer in a small case to use as a mask. I recycled my Bottega Louis macaron box since they are so cute and durable ^.^

Make-Ups

Went out with friends for drink last night. Had my normal everyday make-up. Also tried out the new Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Rendezvous which is orange. It goes on light to medium, so thankfully not TOO orange. I thought it would be a nice color change from my usual pink. Eye-make up closeup.

Chamomile Mask

I got a about three small red blemishes on my nose and chin. I was in Los Angeles last week for a job interview and stopped by Little Tokyo and they had My Beauty Diary products. I see reviews online all the time, so I bought this Chamomile and White Lily Sleeping mask for oily skin.

My face before. Red, and a small white head. I put my Finecea cream from the dermatologist, my moisturizer and finally the mask on top before I went to bed. 

When I woke up the next day my face was visibly less red, and the whitehead was gone! I honestly surprised, because this mask has a very strong fragrance and my skin is super-super sensitive to fragrance. Also because it goes on clear, I will be taking this on the plane with me when P-chan and I go to the US Virgin Islands. It is a 15 hour flight, so a mask is essential. Below is my "after" face, and the redness is GONE!
